America waddles on Dunkin

I see these commercials all the time. America runs on Dunkin. The people are all very active fueled by donuts I guess. Um, no.

Wake it up people, marketers, Government.

From an article in Men’s Health, http://www.menshealth.com/16secrets/secretdunkindonuts.html

Dunkin doesn’t want you to know that each of its medium-size fruit-and-yogurt smoothies packs at least 60 grams of sugar—more than four times the sugar in a chocolate-frosted cake doughnut. The fruit purees used in the smoothies are mixed with liberal doses of sugar and/or high-fructose corn syrup.

  • This drives me nuts, too. They never show an unfit person pigging out on the donuts. I just thank goodness that eating a single donut makes my stomach swell like I swallowed a basketball. It makes it that much easier to turn away. Love your blog, by the way. I’m adding it to my blogroll.

  • Thanks for the love. The unkind donuts are bad. If you work in corporate America it just doesn’t stop. A birthday every week brings out donuts and cakes and bagels. There are free sodas. I worked for a company who supplied coolers of Dairy Queen ice cream sandwiches and dilly bars every Thursday in the summer.

Good luck not eating free ice cream…
